Our team is growing! We are seeking a Senior Accountant to play a critical role in supporting our capital accounting processes, regulatory reporting, and fixed asset management.

In this role, you'll be the bridge between our finance, engineering, operations, and regulatory teams. With a focus on work order reporting and asset tracking, you'll ensure accuracy in financial reporting and support compliance with both state and federal regulations. Your work will directly influence cost recovery strategies and help drive smart investment decisions across our broadband transport network.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Work Order & Asset Management (50%) – Set up plant assets, close work orders, and ensure accurate tracking and capitalization of plant and equipment.

  • Journal Entries & Reporting (10%) – Prepare monthly journal entries for regulated and non-regulated entities, maintaining compliance with GAAP.

  • Regulatory & Asset Compliance (15%) – Review federal and state cost reimbursements, maintain asset records (additions, retirements, CPRs), and support FCC audits and documentation.

  • Financial Strategy & Analysis (15%) – Advise leadership on cost recovery strategies, support capital budgeting, and assist with ROI/payback evaluations for capital projects.

  • Collaboration & Support (10%) – Coordinate cost accounting data with internal teams and external consultants, conduct annual time studies, and contribute to other financial initiatives as needed.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • ​​​​​​​Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good project management skills; ability to work to deadlines
  • Methodical and analytical approach
  • Strong ability to gather and present complex information appropriately to stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills, including excellent Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
